This is a 1963 vintage young adult story about a boy name Andy Marvin and his horse called, "Mountain Pony." It was written by Henry Larom with nice cover art by Robert Frankenberg. See scan. His first summer on Uncle Wes' Wyoming ranch, city-bred Andy Marvin buys the frightened sorrel pony to stop Randy Garland from beating the pony. With cousin Sally's help, Andy masters the mischievous Sunny. The tamed pony carries Andy through danger to round up some lost horses. Together, boy and horse help Uncle Wes track down a band of game rustlers, and Sunny gets a reward from the governor. The book is a 1963 Scholastic T53 paperback with 245 pages. It is complete and unabridged. It is in acceptable/good condition with some bc creases and last pg has corner out but this is not a text page but a page of other books listed.
