“A Case in Point, 18-1” is the theme of this 1942 WWII era original advertisement for Allison Engines featuring a Allied Tomahawk airplane. Ad has great photo of a Curtis P-40 or what the British called “The Tomahawk,” or Kittihawk. There is a small newspaper section about an 18-1 victory of an Australian Squadron over the Axis planes. Also shown at the bottom left are small drawings of a Bell Airacobra, Lockhead P-38 Interceptor and a North American Apache. See the scan.
The ad is on a 10x13 page and in color. It is in excellent condition with nice color and detail. Your ad will be sent protected by a plastic sleeve with backboard.
Vintage advertisements and articles are becoming more and more collectible for their nostalgia look and unique eye-appeal. They also are suitable for framing and are becoming more scarce as the supply of vintage paper products continues to decrease. Please note this is an original, vintage product advertisement and NOT a reproduction.
